Ethos Copywriting Careers

Content Writer | Erie, PA | Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Great brands aren’t built on ads; they're built on content. With the right message, brands have the power to inspire, enlighten, and entertain. That’s why at Ethos, we don’t just write—we compose, create, and optimize. Our content comes in the form of blogs, brochures, grants, screenplays, web pages, and just about any other variety of media that includes the written word.

We’re a small business with big ideas. From how we care for our clients to our own rigorous content standards, we strive to:

  • Contribute to Culture: We believe in the human spirit, dreaming big, and driving change.

  • Do The Right Thing: Being kind, compassionate, and empathetic never goes out of style.

  • Work Resourcefully: Working hard shows fortitude. Working smart demonstrates intellect—that’s why we do both.

But enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You’re the kind of writer who can craft a phrase so smooth it feels as if the words could melt in your mouth. You have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, the ability to digest monumental ideas by the dozens, and an innate sense of exceptional storytelling.

When you’re an Ethos writer, you’re able to transform the mundane into the remarkable, turn an instance into an experience, and a business into a brand. Whether it takes in-depth qualitative research or a flawless sense of style, you have confidence in every keystroke.

Ethos needs a copywriter who is naturally curious about the world. From finance and fashion to marketing and manufacturing, the deep dives we take are only for content creators who like to parse through the murkiness of new concepts.

As a writer at Ethos, you’re the type who likes to find solutions, not just highlight problems. You’re also the kind of person who can’t move on from a piece until it’s grammatically and syntactically pristine.

More specifically, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Writing exceptional content

  • Brainstorming creative and strategic concepts

  • Editing brand assets to fit client needs

  • Analyzing data

  • Adapting your voice, tone, and style to meet our clients’ needs

  • Editing for grammatical and syntactical issues

  • Hitting deadlines
